Summer's gone and now we're back to work. The trip to the US was great but it took a while to get over
the jet lag! Last Saturday Attlerud and Northbranch played at "Trasdockans" Day at Medborgarplatsen in Stockholm. The festival was arranged by the children's charity organization ATSUB. Both bands played in
their stripped-down, "unplugged" configurations and both were well appreciated by all.
It always feels nice to support a worthwhile cause!

We're currently looking for distribution for the 6000 Attlerud and Gluntarne CD's that we've got in the storage area under the office here at Confident Music. We want them out in the stores so that they can find their way into CD players in homes all over Sweden! We'll let you know as soon as we've found a distributor!

Work on the Northbranch project is in full swing! Our projected release date is sometime in January 2006. We're also hoping -dare we say!- that we'll start recording the new Attlerud Band album sometime this fall. Danne's been writing some great new songs and we're all very excited!

Hi everybody! The Attlerud and Gluntarne albums are have been delivered from the pressing plant.
They look really good and we're all quite pleased with the result! Summer is soon over at which time we'll start searching for a distributor to get the CD's into the stores. In a few days, I'll be on my way to the US for a few gigs and some vacation time. It's feel great to see some old friends and since there's going to be a lot happening in the Fall, it's good to take some time off now. Be in touch soon!

The more attentive of our Swedish TV viewers may have seen Danne Attlerud last Saturday. He sat in an armchair looking nervous just after 9 pm. Danne and Mats Wester, along with the band Nordman, have
written the lyrics to a song entitled "Ödet Var Min Väg" (Destiny Was My Path) which went to the finals of
the 2005 Melodifestivalen (Melody Festival). Congratulations! Magnus Carlsson, who made a guest
appearance on "Högt Över Mon" (Attlerud), along with Alcazar went on to the second round of the contest.

We're working towards the completion of the Gluntarna and Attlerud albums. Soon the masters will be sent
to the pressing plant for manufacture. If you can't wait for the albums, you can listen to some sneak-preview demos on each of the artists web pages. Our friend Tina Jeppsson has done a fantastic job on the layout for
the packaging and booklets.

Those of you living in and around Stockholm and the Western shores of the Baltic are well aware of the stormy weather we've been experiencing lately! Jörgen Nordgren (Northbranch) is a merchant seaman by trade and has spent most of January stumbling around the deck of a cargo ship. Now we're planning on recording some guitar and vocal overdubs. We've stocked up on duct tape to keep Jörgen anchored to the mic stand until he loses his sea legs.
-Until next time!

It's been pretty hectic around here lately! Jan has recently been traveling up to Söderhamn to make some recordings with Jörgen Nordgren (Northbranch). The first session was recorded in a lakeside cottage we
rented in the woods on the outskirts of town. Jörgen played 12 string acoustic guitar, Jan was on bass,
Frank Sanderson was on drums and Nilsson was on electric guitar. They laid down the basic tracks for
6 songs and had a great time. The grilled food and forest environment contributed quite positively to the session! One evening Jan and Frank went into "town" to quench their thirst and encountered what was quite possibly the world's worst cover band. After trying to identify what song -and even what language- the band was going for, they gave up and went to another pub. Taste is indeed personal and subjective!

On another session, Jan recorded Jörgen at home in Jörgen's kitchen. He was forced to unplug the refrigerator because it was too noisy, but you can hear the wall clock in the background if you listen closely (nothing like
a little charm!). There will be more recordings up in Söderhamn in the coming weeks and Jörgen will be
coming down to Stockholm to do some studio recordings as well.

The Attlerud and Gluntarne projects are both going strong. We're hoping to release them in February so
there's some busy days ahead to get the CD layouts and artist websites ready.
Danne Attlerud has written lyrics to a couple of songs for next year's Melody Festival (Melodifestivalen).

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
